Danville Area Humane Society Hosts Adoption Fair

Danville, VA - Danville Area Humane Society had a lot more four legged friends running around than usual on Saturday. That's because they had their Spring Adoption Fair.

Folks came out to adopt cats and dogs at the shelter, but those who already have pets stopped by too.
The shelter was offering pet pictures with the Easter Bunny, and they had Easter baskets on sale.
They offered rabies and distemper vaccinations for a reduced price. The adoption fee was also reduced from $85 to $45.
"We have found that adoption fairs do create a lot of interest in all of our animals and we are happy to reduce the fee for this day," said Paulette Dean, Executive Director of Danville Area Humane Society.
The Danville Area Humane Society holds reduced adoption fairs four times a year.
