Lynchburg, VA - The presidents of Central Virginia Community College and Lynchburg College signed a dual admission and enrollment agreement Tuesday.
The program is designed for students working on a two year degree at CVCC, who want to continue their education at Lynchburg College. Starting in the fall, the students may take one course per semester at LC at the community college rate.
"That gives students the opportunity to experience an excellent, yet affordable, education at CVCC knowing that they'll be able to transfer to Lynchburg College when they finish here," said John Capps, CVCC President.
"It makes a nicer transition for the CVCC students," said Kenneth Garren, Lynchburg College President. "They're on track very quickly to be able to complete their degree requirements in a minimum amount of time."
Students will have an academic advisor at both colleges. They'll also have the chance to participate in select Lynchburg College events, clubs and organizations.
