Danville, VA - Republican gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli visited the Southside Tuesday to lay out his economic policy.
Cuccinelli started the day in Martinsville before heading to Danville to visit Piedmont Precision Machine. He toured the facility and talked with employees about his plans to increase workforce training in our region and create jobs.
Cuccinelli also stressed the importance of having a debate in Danville when he and his opponent, Democrat Terry McAuliffe, will begin their debate circuit later this year.
"You all do have unique concerns in this region and I think the people here deserve to have their local concerns addressed by the people who want to be governor just as much as folks in Fairfax where there is already a debate scheduled," Cuccinelli said.
McAuliffe has not accepted the Danville debate at this time
