CSX Receives "Notice of Violation" from Virginia DEQ Regarding James River Oil Spill
Lynchburg, VA - The train derailment and subsequent oil spill in downtown Lynchburg resulted in nearly 30,000 gallons of crude oil in the James. Thursday, DEQ served a notice of violation to CSX asking them to respond within ten days for discussions on how to remedy the spill.
