Lexington, VA - Both sides of the Confederate Flag debate in Lexington will be back in court Thursday. In 2011, Lexington officials adopted an ordinance that prohibits the flying of the Confederate flag on city-owned light poles.
The only flags that can fly are those representing the city, state and the country.
The Sons of Confederate Veterans is challenging the city's ruling in a federal appeals court.
Attorneys for the group argue the ordinance violates their constitutional right to free speech.
Arguments in this case started up Thursday morning.
