Danville, VA - Commodore Homes, a home construction and design company in Danville, has decided to close its doors.

The company notified their plant workers last Friday.

In a statement to the Mayor of Danville, the company wrote they're moving to a plant in North Carolina.
The president and CEO of Commodore Homes said their North Carolina factory is newer and more up to date than the Danville one.
All employees will be terminated by April 30, but for some, April 16 will be their last day.
