Co-Director of Gymnastics Center Guilty of Sexual Battery

Christiansburg, VA - The co-director of a Christiansburg gymnastics school has been found guilty of two counts of misdemeanor sexual battery.

Kenneth Epperly, 63, had originally been charged with felonies but the charges were dropped down to misdemeanors.

That's so the victims don't have to talk about the events leading up to the charge.

The incidents happened at New River Valley Gymnastics and involved a 5 and 10-year-old who were students there.

Wednesday, Epperly entered an Alford guilty plea meaning there is enough evidence to convict him, but he maintains his innocence.

Epperly is out on bond pending his sentencing February 21.
