Lynchburg, VA -The Children's Miracle Network will host the 27th annual telethon this weekend. They are raising money to help treat babies and children in our local hospitals. CMN has worked on a lot of new projects in the past few years. They opened a new pediatric pod at Lynchburg General Hospital and have a new center for child birth and family education. They have also bought a new ambulance to transport babies to the intensive care nursery. All the additions take a lot of funds. "You can see, all of these projects are very important, very expensive, and they wouldn't happen without things like the telethon and the generous support of the ABC 13 viewers," said Jack Whisler, CMN Hospitals Coordinator. The telethon will run Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 3 p.m.
