      Closing of Danville AMCOR Plant Relocates 40 jobs

      Danville, VA--The tobacco packing plant AMCOR closed it's manufacturing plant in Danville in April. They recently announced that they're expanding their Reidsville, North Carolina plant which will add several new jobs.

      An AMCOR spokesperson said they relocated 40 jobs from the closed Danville plant, formerly known as AGI-Shorewood, to their Reidsville plant.

      They also said they're investing several million dollars in machinery and equipment.
