Christiansburg Man Enters Alford Plea to Embezzling from VA FAA Foundation

Christiansburg, VA - A Christiansburg man will be sentenced in December on charges of embezzling from the Virginia FFA Foundation.

Former foundation treasurer Eugene Todd Mills entered Alford pleas to embezzlement charges on Monday in Montgomery County Circuit Court.

An Alford plea means the defendant doesn't admit guilt but agrees that evidence is strong enough to convict them.

Mills had been scheduled to stand trial on Monday. He was accused of embezzling more than $722,000 from the foundation.

Mills faces up to 180 years in prison.

The foundation raises funds to support activities of the FFA, formerly known as the Future Farmers of America.
