Christiansburg Goodwill Store Closed After Six Hospitalized

The fire department says elevated levels of carbon monoxide likely led to the illnesses. The store is expected to be back open later Friday evening.


Christiansburg, VA - The Christiansburg Goodwill store is closed after six people had to be taken to the hospital Friday afternoon.

Town officials say customers and employees at the store on Peppers Ferry Road were complaining of nausea and headaches. Six were taken to Lewis Gale and are in stable condition. The Goodwill has been evacuated and ventilated, and will remain closed.

There's no word what caused their symptoms.
