Lynchburg, VA - Minnesota Vikings cornerback and Lynchburg-native Chris Cook is taking some time to give back in between seasons.
Friday morning he visited Heritage Elementary School where he talked about the importance of education.
He told 4th and 5th graders if they work hard, their dreams can come true. Later, Cook took part in their field day where he ran relays, played basketball and volleyball.
"I just wanted the students to know that school is the most important thing, especially today as far as them achieving their dreams and being what they want to be," he said.
Cook also plans to be at the Special Olympics at Heritage High School on April 18.
