Checkered Pig Raises Money for Oklahoma Tornado Relief
Danville, VA-- A Danville restaurant has been very busy since they opened their doors Thursday morning.
Owners of Checkered Pig decided to give 15 percent of their gross income on Thursday toward tornado relief in Oklahoma. All the money raised will go to God's Pit Crew and their efforts.
The owners said God's Pit Crew needs monetary donations to help get their volunteers into the field. They said they're more than willing to help out.
"I've got so much going on," said Tommy Houston, owner of Checkered Pig. "If I didn't have so much going on, I'd be in Oklahoma feeding folks, so anyway this is another way I can help."
Checkered Pig in Martinsville will also be donating 15 percent of its sales. Both locations close at 8:30 p.m.
