Charmaine Hairston - Franklin County Senior Guard

Franklin County Senior Guard

She averaged 15 points a game this season and has a career average of 17 a game. Her list of accolades is not short to say the least.

As a four-year varsity starter she is Franklin County's second all-time leading scorer with more than1,200 points. She's a three-time All-Western Valley District player, two-time District Player of the Year, two-time All-Northwest Region member, and a McDonald's All-American nominee

This season Hairston shot 38 percent from three-point line and 70 percent from free throw line.

Coach Anne Crutchfield said Hairston is deciding between two colleges - Lynchburg and Mount Olive in Raleigh, NC. Crutchfield added, "She is one player that loves to spend time in the gym. She really worked hard to make herself a well-rounded player. Offense comes easy for her, she's a natural shooter but she has worked hard on defense and has matured into a tremendous leader. She's respected by her teammates and overall just a great kid, a blessing to coach and she has always been an athlete that's been able to achieve individual honors but she's the first to recognize her teammates in all that she has accomplished."
