Campbell Co, VA - Charges are pending against a Campbell County man who officials say had jugs of chemicals in his possession.
Sunday around 5:00 p.m., a Sheriff's Deputy took a suspect into custody from an area motel. Officials say he was arrested for an unrelated warrant, but upon searching his room, they say they found three gallon-size jugs filled with chemicals that are commonly used to make meth.
"The type of meth that's made, it's referred to on the street as Crank and it's kind of an easy kind of a cocktail that they mix up all in one jug and produce a product with," said Captain. Billy Crowe.
The suspect's name will be released once charges are placed. He is being held at Blue Ridge Regional Jail. The chemicals were sent to the Virginia State lab. Officials are waiting on pending results to determine what charges will be placed.
