Lynchburg, VA - Over a thousand people came out to support CASA of Central Virginia Saturday at the organization's big shoe sale.
Shoppers bought shoes at only five dollars a pair.
The money added up quickly. Only half-way through the sale, organizers said they had raised $9,000.
The Executive Director of CASA says the proceeds will go to support their program that recruits and trains volunteers. The event was the first fall sale the non-profit organization has had. They have had a spring sale for fourteen years in a row now.
Organizers say people lined up for Saturday's sale bright and early.
"They were lined up actually before we opened the doors at eight o'clock and they've been pretty well shopping all day," said Jane Francis, Executive Director of CASA of Central Virginia.
CASA will still be having their spring sale next year if you missed Saturday's sale.
