Cars Damaged by Thrown Rocks on Lynchburg Expressway

Lynchburg, VA - Four cars are damaged after being hit by rocks, but the drivers are very lucky they weren't hurt.

Lynchburg Police say at least one, but possibly two, people were throwing the rocks off the railroad bridge between the Graves Mill and Timberlake Roads exits at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

One driver turned around after getting hit, and saw at least one person on the bridge but wasn't quite sure if there was a second person or not.

Officers canvassed the area but couldn't find any possible culprits.

The damage was mostly to the hoods and windshields.

Police estimate between the four vehicles, it's probably a couple of thousands of dollars worth of damage.
