UPDATE: 3:31 p.m.
Lynchburg, VA - A car hit a power pole Saturday afternoon near the intersection of Fenwick Drive and Sheffield Drive.
ABC 13 arrived on the scene just as rescue personnel did around 2:30 p.m. There is no word on any injuries from the crash, though medics were on stand-by just in case.
Traffic was re-routed because of a possible "hot" wire down near the scene, but Appalachian Power crews have cleared the danger. The pole is Lynchburg's and will have to be repaired by the city.
As of 3:27 p.m., no power outages were reported in the area.
Stay with ABC 13 for further information as it becomes available.
