Car Crashes into Pole, Knocks Out Power to Roanoke Valley AEP Customers

Roanoke, VA - Over 800 Appalachian Power customers in Roanoke City along with 900 customers in Roanoke County are without power Sunday, according to AEP's website.

Earlier in the day Sunday, power outages were also reported to ABC 13 by viewers in Franklin County, as well.

AEP Spokesperson Teresa Hall tells ABC 13 that the cause of the outages are the result of a car crashing into a power pole.

Hall says power should be restored by around noon.

ABC 13 will pass along any updates as we get them.
