Campbell Co. Murder Suspect Facing More Charges
Lynchburg, VA - A Campbell County murder suspect is facing more charges Wednesday.
A Lynchburg police officer in court said Tony Witt admitted he used Barbara Martin's credit card after the murder.
A Lynchburg judge certified credit card fraud charges against Witt.
He's already in jail, charged with killing Martin inside her Concord home back in July.
The Campbell County Sheriff says she died of a combination of stab wounds and blunt force trauma about a week before her body was found.
After the murder, Witt allegedly used Martin's credit card at the Wal-Mart on Wards Road where he racked up more than $2,000.
The preliminary hearing lasted about fifteen minutes and Witt headed back to the Blue Ridge Regional jail.
A Lynchburg grand jury will decide whether the charges go forward next month.
