She may be only a sophomore, but ask any coach in the Seminole District and he or she will tell you that Carter's impact on the floor is immeasurable. She can shoot, drive, rebound, play defense, and get steals almost at will.
Carter, the team MVP, was the team's leading scorer with 387 points and should break the 1,000 point total next year as a junior. She was also first on the team in steals (95) and blocks (34).
Even though most teams keyed on shutting her down, she was named Seminole District Player of the Year and was named first team All-Region.
Coach Tracie Hayes says, "She is a super young lady with a great attitude and skill level that she has worked for! She listens well and she wants to absorb as much basketball knowledge as she can, so she can apply it! Cameron is extremely coachable and she desires to play Division I basketball on the next level. She is very capable of achieving this goal as she continues to improve her game. It is just amazing to be Player of the Year as a sophomore and she reminds me of Alyssa Thomas of Maryland because she also achieved this feat."
