Byron Clements Found Guilty by Reason of Insanity

Pittsylvania Co., VA - A Pittsylvania County man has been found not guilty by reason of insanity after two previous trials ended in a hung jury.

Both the defense and the prosecution waived a third jury trial for 48-year-old Byron Clements.
Clements was charged with one count of malicious wounding for stabbing a security guard at a social security office in February of 2011.
His attorney argued Clements suffered from schizophrenia. He will now undergo a 45-day psychiatric evaluation.
