Buzzing Week of Sept. 17: Plays, Musicals & Concerts

From plays to concerts, there are a ton of different performances this weekend. This is the last weekend to catch a funny drama at the Renaissance Theatre. "Crimes of the Heart" is about three sisters raised in a dysfunctional family. The play will be on stage September 21-13, and tickets are $17.

So what happens after happily ever after? Find out this weekend as The Tower Theater at Liberty University presents "Into the Woods." The Tony-Award winning musical has some of your favorite fairy-tale characters like Cinderella and the Little Red Riding Hood. That will be on stage through the end of September.

September 22- ABC 13 talent will be taking part in a great fundraiser. Come out to the Academy of Fine Arts on for Feenominal Follies! It'll be a night of music, fun and laughter. And you can see Len Stevens and Matt Ferguson break it down! The event benefits the United Way of Central Virginia.

Also in LynchburgThe Ellington welcomes The Skip Castro band. This group of four guys has been playing together for 34 years! They mix up some rhythm n' blues, swing, and rock and roll. They go on at 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $15 in advance or $30 at the door. You can buy tickets here.
