Buzzing in Town Week of May 28

Reporter: Claudia Rupcich

Hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend. It's warm and beautiful week, and there are plenty of things to do with the family.

On Friday, June 1 Heritage High School is hosting this year's Relay for Life of Lynchburg. You can still register for the event and join a team. That's Friday at 7 p.m. until Saturday at 5 a.m. All the funds help raise cancer awareness and save lives.

I'm giving you an excuse to go eat a donut this weekend. Friday is National Donut Day, and you can get a free one at the Old City Cemetery! It's a fundraiser for the Salvation Army and you can also get free tours and entry to the museum. That's 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

If you're like me - a huge fan of Queen-you don't want to miss a performance Saturday, June 2 in Salem. The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra presents "One Vision: The Music of Queen." It's a tribute to Freddie Mercury and Queen with a full orchestra, a band and singers.{}
