Buzzing Feb. 22-24: Gathering of Goddesses, Freddy Cole Concert & MystiCon Convention

Ladies, want a night of glamour and pampering only for you? Well this Friday is your chance! Come out to the annual Gathering of Goddesses at Amazement Square February 22. You'll be treated like a star with a red carpet, paparazzi photos and a photo booth. You'll also get a catered dinner, spa treatments and live music! Tickets are $85 per person and all proceeds go to Amazement Square's educational programs.

Also Friday, the BopCats are in concert at The Ellington. They band plays music from the 50s including a lot of covers and some original songs. The band will be on at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $10 at the door. That also includes appetizers.

Saturday night, a Grammy nominated jazz musician will be on stage! The Freddy Cole Quartet will perform at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lynchburg. Cole will sing a tribute to artists such a Jerome Kern, Cole Porter and Gladys Shelly. That starts at 7:30 p.m.

If you love sci-fi, you don't want to miss the MystiCon convention in Roanoke. Feb. 22-24, the Tanglewood Holiday Inn will be packed with gamers and huge fans. There will be costume contests and signings from sci-fi authors.
