Buzz in Town Week of July 8

If you like Shakespeare, one of his most popular plays will be on at the outdoor theater at Sweet Briar College. Endstation Theatre Company will be putting it on July 13 & 14. It's the last play of their summer season, and the local Lynchburg band Virgineola will accompany the actors during the play.
Friday Cheers is back after it was canceled last week because of the storm. The Craig Woodlard Band will be on stage 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. The group plays great music that will have you on your feet. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. at Riverfront Park.
On July 14, Gretchen Wilson is coming to Phase 2 in Lynchburg. The self-named "redneck woman" will perform her hits from her debut album, "Here for the Party." Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door.
In Roanoke- there's the 7th annual Blue Ridge Blues and BBQ Festival. Come out to Elmwood Park for some great food and music. Johnny Winter will be headlining the event. The blues singer and guitarist will be on stage at 8:30 p.m.
