Roanoke, VA - Adjust your schedule if you are flying out of the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport this weekend as a busy travel weekend is ahead. That's because Friday marks Virginia Tech's commencement ceremony and airport officials say you need to treat it like a holiday weekend. The big day is drawing thousands of people from all over the country. Many are coming through the airport which has seen a considerable jump in activity all week."Make sure that you check in online the night before if you can and try to get here, to the airport, for your flight at least two hours before your flight," said Amanda DeHaven, spokeswoman for the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport.DeHaven says you want to be especially prepared if you are traveling on Sunday because that's already typically a busy travel day at the airport.
