Brush Fire Spreads Through Two Acres in Gretna

Gretna, VA - A brush fire spread across two acres of woods Monday afternoon in Gretna.

Crews were called to the 2100 block of Taylor's Mill Road around 1:45 p.m., after receiving a call about trees being on fire.
The landowner said she had been burning leaves on Saturday. Officials believe smoldering ash may have blown into the trees and re-ignited.
It took firefighters from two stations about 30 minutes to get it under control.
No one was injured.
