Brosville, VA - The Brosville Fire Department is inching ever closer to rebuilding their fire house after a blaze nearly destroyed it.
The January 26 fire caused extensive damage to the building and two emergency vehicles.
One firefighter who showed up just after it started saved their gear valued at roughly four thousand dollars per person.
Overall they are looking at about $800,000 for all the repairs. Most is covered by insurance but they will need to raise at least a $100,000 themselves to be debt free.
"It's gonna still take six months to get an ambulance in and then seven months to a year to get the crash truck built and put in," said Chris Key, the fire chief.
They have different fundraisers coming up, including an all you can eat pancake breakfast on March 31.
