Brookville, James Monroe Meet Again for Title

Campbell County - Seminole District champion Brookville plays in Saturday's first state championship game at noon at Liberty's Williams Stadium.

The Bees, defending state champion in Division 3, battle James Monroe of Fredericksburg, a rematch of last year's title game. The Bees, down two, won it on an Alan Gutierrez 27-yard field goal with 35 seconds left. 34-33 Brookville, these two meet again for the title for the third time in five years.
Jeff Woody, BROOKVILLE HEAD COACH, said "Regardless of whether you win or lose, there are gonna be some tears shed by those seniors that know it's their last game being played. But you would rather them be tears of joy rather than, you know, tears of heartbreak."
