Bridal Sale in Roanoke Benefits Breast Cancer Victims
Roanoke, VA - Ladies who are planning to tie the knot have an opportunity to pick up a great wedding dress while helping those that suffer from breast cancer. "Brides Against Breast Cancer" is making a stop in Roanoke this weekend. The non-profit has set up shop in the Sheraton. In all, nearly 1,000 new and gently used dresses are for sale. Eighty cents for every dollar raised goes to helping those most impacted by cancer. "We do treat more of the psycho-social needs. Think more like the group counseling, more of the exercise, nutrition, more of the stress reducing activities for, not only for the patient, but also for the family member and caregiver," said Katie Posavak with Brides Against Breast Cancer. Saturday you can stop by between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
