Bomb Threat Evacuates Lynchburg Courts Monday Morning

Lynchburg, VA - There was lots of activity in downtown Lynchburg Monday morning.

All three courthouses had to be evacuated due to a bomb threat.

A man called 911 just before 9.a.m. saying the circuit court was going to blow up.

Police evacuated all three courts, and the sheriff's office got help from Bedford County's explosives dog to check the buildings and the cars parked outside.

They found nothing and everyone was let back in by 10:45 a.m.
