Blue Ridge Man Facing Numerous Charges for Forcing Himself into a Roanoke Home, Police Say

Roanoke, VA - Roanoke Police arrested a Blue Ridge man after they say he broke into a home on Melrose Avenue early Monday morning.

Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Melrose Avenue, NW at 12:02 Monday and spoke with a victim who told officers someone had forced entry through the front door and had left the scene.

According to Roanoke Police Spokesperson Scott Leamon, officers arrested Darryl Pierre Stone Jr., 24, of Blue Ridge.

Stone was charged with entering dwelling house with intent to commit larceny, assault and battery or other felony. Stone was also charged with felony destruction of property, Leamon said.

Stone was taken to the Roanoke City Jail.
