Benefit Dinner to be Held for Lynchburg Police Families
Lynchburg, VA - Fellow officers are planning a dinner to benefit three members of the Lynchburg Police family who are fighting Cancer.
The Lynchburg Helping Hands Foundation will hold the event in honor of Officer Stuart Mack, Officer Jordan Spaeth, and Leecy Fink. Fink is the wife of a Lynchburg Police officer.
Tickets are $100 per couple. They include a catered dinner, music and dancing, and the chance to win prizes including $5,000.
"They are our second family. That's the way we feel," said Officer Bill Tomlin, an event organizer. "We wanted to take an opportunity to help our own. We see that they're in need and we want to do everything we can to try to help them out."
The dinner will be held June 1 at 6 p.m., at the Madison Heights Community Center on Woody's Lake Road.
