Behind-the-Scenes of Restaurant Week: The Neighbor's Place

Kitchen Manager Jason Fulmer at The Neighbor's Place in Wyndhurst shows us how to make one of their popular fish dishes: The sesame salmon served with their special Szechwan sauce.

Sesame Salmon SzechwanBy Chef Jason "Country" Fulmer


8oz piece of fresh salmon1/2 cup diced tomatoes1/2 cup diced red peppers1/2 cup diced mushrooms1/4 cup fine chopped green onion1/4 cup diced red onion1 cup steamed broccoli florets1/2 cup steamed baby carrots1/4 cup steamed cut zucchini1/4 cup steamed cut yellow squash8oz cooked white rice2tbs. grill or fish seasoning4oz Szechwan sauce1oz extra virgin olive oil


Season your fish on both sides and place on a hot grill. Turn your fish every 3-4 mins for grill marks on both sides

In a saute pan add olive oil, peppers, mushrooms and red onions. Let vegetables sweat for 2-3 mins.

Add the rest of the vegetables and cook for another 2-3 mins.

Add Szechwan sauce to the pan and toss together. Reduce heat, allowing everything to simmer in the pan.

Place your cooked rice on a dinner plate and then top that with vegetables from the pan. Top that with your cooked salmon.
