Bedford, VA- The community of Bedford will enjoy a great fireworks show Saturday night.
It's sponsored by the Moose Lodge number 1897 on 460 in Bedford. The lodge says the town of Bedford and others in the community also gave some money to help put on the show. It costs about five thousand dollars to put it on and the show lasts about 20 minutes. All the fireworks are bought from a vendor in Roanoke and will be shot off from the field behind the Moose Lodge. The lodge says they're expecting close to four thousand people.
"It's really a great show, we've had this fireworks vendor for some eight to nine years, we've used him with special Olympics every year, always looks like he gives a little extra and we get a lot of positive feedback," said Andy Dooley who is the Chair Man of the event.
The parking lot will open at 7 p.m. There will be a shuttle service for off-site parking.
The show is expected to start at 9:30.
