Bedford Co. Trees Will Come Down

Bedford Co, VA - Two trees in the Dominion Virginia Power right of way in Bedford County will be cut down next month.

Byron Davis tells us crews will begin cutting down the trees on his property in Forest August 4.

The trees are both around 200 years old.

Davis said alternatives he proposed to the company, including giving Dominion land to shift the right of way were rejected.

Dominion told us a third old tree, just outside the right of way, can stay. That's if the tree's limbs are cut in a way that would keep it from falling on the power lines.
