Bedford Co. Sheriff's Office Sponsoring Car Show

Bedford Co., VA - The Bedford County Sheriff's Office is hosting a car show to raise money for the GREAT and DARE programs, which teach school children how to avoid gangs and drugs.

A restored 1966 Ford Galaxy will be among the many cars on display.

"Sheriff Mike Brown had a vision of this type of car when he used to patrol the roads in Bedford County," said Captain Tim Hayden. "The deputy sheriff's association got together and got everything donated for the car. We didn't spend a penny of the county's money."

The car show is May 11, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Liberty High School.

You can register a car through April 30.
