Bedford Co., VA -The Bedford County School Board has selected a site to build a new school.
The board voted to buy 49 acres of farm land behind Liberty High School.
The purchase price will be $6,000 an acre, for a total of $294,000.
Under the reversion agreement the county must replace the existing Bedford Middle School.
There has been some talk of building a new high school, and moving middle school students into Liberty High. That has not been decided.
