Bedford Co. Man Gets 7.5 Years in Hit and Run Case

UPDATE: Michael Wayne Jenkins gets seven and a half years to serve for DUI hit and run death of bicyclist Sean McQuaid on 122 last March.-------Bedford Co., VA - A Bedford County man accused of killing a bicyclist is expected to enter a plea in that case in October.Michael Wayne Jenkins has been indicted by the grand jury for felony hit and run and assaulting an emergency worker, according to online court records.Police say Jenkins hit Sean McQuaid on Route 122 in March. They say he and left the man for dead.Police say later the same night, Jenkins attacked firefighters after calling them to his house for a truck fire.
