Bedford Co., VA- Three different fire departments responded to a house and barn fire Saturday night in Bedford County.
Bedford, Forest, and Brookville-Timberlake crews got to the scene at around six o'clock. Firefighters say the house was fully-engulfed when they arrived.
Officials say the fire broke out at an abandoned house along the 2000 block of Everett Road in the Forest area, and spread to an old barn.
"We had some hot spots that made it over to another building. That set it on fire also. Some spot fires on a barn that were probably 200 yards from here, it complicated our operations at the beginning. But we contained that also," said Deputy Chief Monty Coleman, with the Forest Fire Department.
Officials say no one was hurt in the blaze. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Fire Marshals are conducting an investigation.
