Danville, VA - A black bear and two cubs were spotted in Danville Tuesday. Police say onlookers were getting way too close. According to authorities, the bears were seen on Mount Cross Road near Mount Olivet Church before running back into the woods.While no one was injured, police say to never to approach a bear, especially if it is with its cubs. They say the bears can get very protective."Don't get between a mother bear and her cubs. She is going to be protective, she is going to respond unpredictably if she feels for whatever reason that you are threatening her cub," said Cpt. Dennis Haley, Danville Police Department.Police say if you ever see a bear, call 911.
