Waynesboro, VA- A bad acorn crop has really taken a toll on Virginia's bears. The Wildlife Center of Virginia in Waynesboro says they have taken in eight young bears since the beginning of the year, that were close to starving.
The center says, because there were so few acorns last year, the bears weren't able to store up enough food to last them through hibernation. Workers have been nursing the bears, all around one year old, back to health. All are expected to make a full recovery.
