Averett University Art Professor Showcases Work at Danville Museum

Danville, VA - An art professor at Averett University is getting the chance to showcase his skills outside of the classroom.

The Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History is now showcasing the works of Robert Marsh. The exhibit features more than 40 pieces Marsh created through oil sticks and a water based paint. It took more than a year and a half to create. He says all the paintings are scenes in Danville and Pittsylvania County.
"I like to paint things that I'm familiar with. Most cases one can draw something they're very familiar with and the same thing is true with me," said Marsh.
Marsh's exhibit will be open until March 9th.
