Charlotte County, VA - Less than a week after someone stole an ATM from a South Boston store, another ATM was hit, this one at the BB&T in Keysville.
The Charlotte County Sheriff's office says sometime Monday morning, the thieves apparently stole a front end loader from a local sawmill and used it to pull the money machine off the side of the bank.
They say it appears the plan was to load the ATM onto a VDOT truck that had also been stolen, but the front end loader got tangled up in some power lines and the thieves abandoned it and the money machine about 200 yards away.
Investigators found the VDOT truck several miles outside of town where they believe the suspects got in to a light colored SUV and drove off.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.
