Arrest Made in Construction Site Theft

Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg Police have arrested a man they say stole some construction materials from a site twice last month.

31-year-old Leonard Eugene Blackwell is charged with two counts of grand larceny.

According to police, he stole plywood sheets and roofing paper from Wheatland Court on September 11th. There was a similar theft from the site in August.

Investigators say they searched Blackwell's home and found about $10,000 worth of stolen construction equipment.
