Lynchburg, VA - Every year Neiman Marcus unveils its fantasy gift list, and one hometown company has a big ticket item in this year's Christmas Book.
The Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Woody Tailgate Trailer was made, in part, by Moore and Giles. All of the leather comes from this Lynchburg company, and it was put together in Roanoke by Silver Tears Campers.
It comes with a flat-screen TV, Blu-ray player, sound system, leather furniture and is made from reclaimed Bulleit Bourbon casks, not to mention a fully stocked bar.
Moore and Giles Board Chairman Don Giles said this project is all about reinventing what they do.
"Nothing really surprises me that goes on here because of the young people we have here and the energy and they are competitive literally around the world with competitors and it's fun," Giles said.
Moore & Giles President Sackett Wood said the collaboration for Neiman Marcus actually started as a way to raise money for AIDS.
"It's kind of neat that it's grown out of something that was a charitable donation to start off with it," Wood said. "The first Woody was auctioned off to the Design AIDS Charity in New York. So for this to come out of that is really exciting."
The Woody is pricey at $150,000, and 10 % of the proceeds will go toward AIDS research.
The one of a kind gift is making a lot of rounds right now, including at trip to New York City for an appearance on the Today Show. You can follow the adventures here.
