Lynchburg, VA - Archaeologists continued their dig at Old City Cemetery Sunday afternoon, part of an effort in a year-long project to determine where certain graves were once located. A site was excavated Sunday to determine unmarked graves in the Confederate section of the cemetery. Ted Delaney says the archaeologists can determine where these graves were by the color of the soil. He says it's an intricate process that will help them learn a lot about history. "The goal is to find all of these graves that have been previously unmarked, to map them, to know exactly where they are and then to go back and put markers down to show exactly where the graves are," Delaney said.
