Roanoke, VA - Roanoke fire officials say one person was taken to the hospital and 50 people had to be evacuated after a fire at an apartment complex.
They responded to the fire on Dona Drive about 10 p.m. Thursday.
Fire officials say the fire started in a first floor apartment and one resident had to be taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
They say the cause of the fire was cooking.
Two residents were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross.
