Lynchburg, VA - Christmas is almost here, and on Saturday, downtown Lynchburg was celebrating. Amazement Square held the third annual Children's Holiday Festival.

The day was filled with hands-on learning activities.

Lynchburg native Hope Harris sang holiday favorites like Frosty the Snowman.

And some kids danced and sang along to all the tunes. There were also some crafts for the kids.

Organizers say the goal was to make it as interactive as possible.

"It's something that kids get to go to that's more than just pictures with Santa. It's really a whole experience, and we just love to have the children enjoy themselves," Special Events Coordinator Susan Maes said.
